Ingredients

1 tbsp (15 ml) olive or canola oil

1 1/2 cups (375 ml) Arctic Gardens vegetables for spaghetti sauce

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Graves red kidney beans , drained and rinsed

1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Graves black turtle beans , drained and rinsed

1 can 5.5 oz (156 ml) tomato paste

1 can 28 oz (796 ml) chopped tomatoes

1 tsp (5 ml) ground cumin

1/2 tbsp (7 ml) chili powder

1/2 tsp (2 ml) oregano

1 tsp (5 ml) unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp (2 ml) sugar

1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt

1/2 tsp (2 ml) red wine vinegar

1/4 cup (60 ml) freshly chopped cilantro

Grated cheese

Corn chips

Preparation

  1. In a pan, heat oil to medium-high and sauté vegetables and garlic.
  2. Add all ingredients except cilantro and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Add fresh coriander.
  4. Garnish with grated cheese and corn chips.
