Kidney bean carrot burger
1 can of 398 ml Graves Kidney Beans in Sauce
1 large carrot, grated
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp cumin powder
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp flour (gluten-free or all-purpose)
1. Drain the can of Graves Kidney Beans in Sauce and rinse in cold water.
2. In a pan, sauté onions, grated carrot, cumin, salt and pepper in oil. Cook until soft and then add the kidney beans to heat them through.
3. Mash the mixture with a potato masher or a fork until smooth. Stir in one tbsp of flour.
4. Flour your hands and then shape the mixture into small burgers. Heat oil in a pan and then cook the burgers on one side for a few minutes, flip, and cook the other side. Be gentle – they’re soft until they finish cooking.
