Lemon and basil lima bean dip

Cooking time


1 clove garlic

1/2 cup (125 ml) fresh basil

1 tsp (5 ml) lemon zest

1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Graves lima beans , drained and rinsed

1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice

1/2 cup (125 ml) plain Greek yogurt

Salt and freshly ground pepper


  1. In a food processor, chop garlic with basil and lemon juice.
  2. Add lima beans and process.
  3. Start the food processor and gradually add lemon juice, followed by yogurt until smooth.
  4. Season generously.
  5. Serve with raw vegetables and crackers.
