Ingredients

1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Graves red kidney beans , drained and rinsed

1 can 14 oz (398 ml) Graves chick peas , drained and rinsed

2 tbsp (30 ml) olive or canola oil

¼ red onion, minced

1 Italian tomato, seeded and chopped

2 tbsp (30 ml) orange juice

2 tsp (10 ml) white wine vinegar

1 tbsp (15 ml) freshly chopped basil

Salt and freshly ground pepper

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients except the basil.
  2. Set aside in fridge.
  3. Add fresh basil when serving.
